Something is eating away at the top fin of my Coral Beauty. It started as just a small patch and has now grown to a large hole. Can someone help here???

I am thinking it is some type of bacteria. Water is good. The whole back of this fish is being eaten away by what ever this is. The other fish show no sign of illness. Just the dwarf angel.

Well what ever it is killed the yellow tang. I am now doing medication. And the dwarf angel seems to be doing ok. The next few days will tell.
Hated losing the tang.sad.gif It was a very beautiful fish.

After five days of treatment the coral beauty is looking good. I used melafix and pimafix. This seems to have done the trick. My tank looks very good. Tomorrow i do a 15gal water change. And hope all goes well from there.

On a side note. I do think that the pimafix and melafix are very good products. They seem to have done the job with no ill affects on the tank.

Yes, those are the best medication so far that i had use. I use melafix for when my fishes looses fins and start having external infection. And i use primifix when they start having fungus and or rots on them.
