We should have a forum for brackish water fish.I came here to find info on starting a 10 gallon brackish tank,but I don't know where to post a question about it!

for the meantime, i would route to the experts lounge, as it is one of the harder aspects of "freshwater" keeping. eventually there may be a forum, but thats the admins decision.

;) I agree with Octoberfest. I would stick to the freshwater expert lounge and post a new topic.
We have had a few people thinking that brackish was the same as freshwater. They got the fish home and just put the fish into a reg. freshwater tank and then notice something wrong.

I remember a story that a girl brought home a brackish fish and then just dumped reg. salt into her tank all at once. Needless to say she lost her fish.

Though I don''t know much on the subject, I would just open a new post. :up:

The person who brought home the brackish fish without knowing it was brackish was me. I was lucky enough to fix my tank and make it suitable for my fish thanks to the help of people on this site.

Brackish water tanks could be considered slightly less salty saltwater tanks. If I we're posting some questions about brackish water tanks, I'd post my question in the salt water section. Or, like some of our other members have said, the freshwater expert's lounge. Right now there isn't much of a demand for a brackish water forum right now. I'd hate for you to be the only one on there. Don't think we don't want to help you with your questions though. If you have a hard time getting an answer on something, send me a private message and I"ll do the best I can to help you out.
