This purple one had damaged it's shell somehow during shipping, but it's still cute:

I noticed something really fascinating about them. They have these very pretty patterns on their skin:

Lovely Pics!!!! They all look like brigs to me. The purple one may heal if he is getting enough calcium through collard greens. How big are they? They look small.

I just had my cana lay eggs on the top of my filter hood! I don't know for sure if my one other snail is a cana or not yet. The egg mass (clutch) was bigger than a leech! I know for sure that ol' Blue is a brigs, and therefore cannot mate if the other is a cana.

Here is a pic of Buck, the one I am not sure on:

It is rather an old photo, but I was told he may actually be a dark cana. If he is?!! Wow!

Do you have other fish in with them? Their anttenae look way too short.

Yup. They are all brigs. As of right now, they are all around the size of a marble. I have them in a betta sorority, maybe the girls took a nipping at them. I've seen one or two of my girls stare at them for a while. Geeze, they're crazy. Do antennas grow back or is it permenant? And how do you sex them?

Congrats on the eggs laid. Looks to me like Buck IS a cana. How big is he now? Get ready, you might get some baby canas! :)

The eggs were duds. I think they were not fertilized, or they were just to dry by the time I found them. The antennae will grow back but just not to full length.

CC! Lovely cray! How big is he? I love the gravel color. We plan on going white gravel this weekend in our crays tank. We have just only used black sand and hubby says it is time for a change to bring out his blue color.
