Interesting. So when I start my pond, how difficult is it to start breeding Koi?

Once the koi are around 2-3year up...then you need a small pond and lots of mop like material for which koi are able to lay their eggs. There is also one season for them to spawn...in spring and summer.
If you want to breed for the sake of breeding then you can get 2 males to one female...females are more bulky and males are skinny. But if you want to breed for quality then you must first obtain quality breeding stock.
