Title: Updates on Starvin Marvin! :D :D

Hey ya'll! Just wanted to let you know that Starvin Marvin is thriving under all the attention he gets. He's my official desk buddy/guard fish now as well!! He's extremely protective of me :D If anyone comes near me when I'm on my computer he Frrrreeeakkks out, lol. He flares (his beard, or what I call their gill flap thing that comes out when they flare, is huge) and charges the glass until they move away from me. I think he thinks he's Jaws...
Today he was showing some signs of the start of fungus, but I quickly remedied that problem with a dose of Maracyn2. The small stringy things dissapeared immediately. He's getting full water change later today, plus more maracyn and some aquarium salt.
His feeding regimine goes something like this:
9:30-10:30 in the morning, I wake up, four micropellets for Starvin Marvin
3:00 - 4:00 roll in from classes, two to three more pellets for Starvin Marvin
1:30 A.M. bedtime, two more pellets
I know this sounds like overfeeding, but he's thriving on it. If he looks like his tummy is getting too fat I'll skip a feeding or two, but the multiple feedings are really helping him put the weight on. His little body uses up every bit I give him swimming. He's greatly improved though. He's a very busy boy, and his fins are finally unclamping and really starting to grow out. His body had pretty much absorbed them before in an attempt to continue to have sustenance to use.
And of course, the complementary update picture for you guys!! (Can you believe it's almost been two weeks since I got him? :wub: )
BTW, he's not being handfed anymore, he attacks his food with gusto!!

He's still almost transparent, lol. I think he's pretty much going be totally opaque when he grows out, maybe a little platinum eh?

Excellent job Hakkobetta. Congrats! I am happy to report that on my last visit to PetSmart, there were no fish that needed rescuing. Since you started posting on Starvin Marvin, I've been on the lookout. Thanks for the inspiration.
