Title: Too EXCITED!

hakkobetta - April 1, 2006 08:17 PM (GMT)
Alrighty, we're (my boyfriend and I) walking through Petsmart and I'm talking about how much I want a thirty gallon bow front aquarium with the stand that goes with it, and he walks on the next aisle and points out a thirty gallon hex with wooden stand that he says his parents have and have used in the past, but don't keep fish in anymore!!! :D

I of course was like "DUDE ARE YOU SERIOUS?!" lol.

So he asked his parents if I can have it...I'm still waiting for a verdict. They haven't put fish in it for about two years, sooooo hopefully...I'll have an awesome tank to make a community tank in this summer!!

DAMN!!!! I hope for the best for you! My best friend, he has a 75G that is not being used, but I wouldn't even think about asking him for it. I wouldn't mind buying it from him, but I would need to really make some space here. GOOD LUCK!

I have a community tank, well I guess u can call it a community tank. It's full of bluegill and gouramis and corydoras catfish at the bottom of the tank.

Guppy, how does that even follow the conversation? I'm lost....

GuppyBabe - April 1, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
don't really know, but I felt like saying it, sorry. :(

Well that'll be nice indeed, and I bet it will look awesome. :)

Has anythign happened with getting the tank?

hakkobetta - April 24, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
Well, they decided to put fish in it. They have two 55's and one thirty. Grrr...I want a fifty-five!! :D :D

But my boyfriend got me my twenty for our anniversary, so I was completley smitten with that instead. It's only ten gallons less, and it can hold way more fish than a ten!! My sorority's going well, btw. I got new pics (haven't posted them yet though), my females are officially living in harmony!

I lost a danio though (I moved them to my ten)....I have no idea how he died. I asked on petfish and they said it was probably a fluke thing, that he just died. There were no signs of illness or anything, I think he got caught in the intake system of the filter, because a piece of him was missing, and I didn't find it til later :(

R.I.P. little danio. May you continue to search for food and swim aimlessly around in heaven.

Sorry to hear about not getting the bowfront tank, but rest assured, if theres a tank to be given away, you can find it. My parents gave away their 125 and stand with filters and everything! GRRR! If only I was into fish keeping back then. <_<

I've only got my 29 gallon now. I've got a 65 gallon bowfront in my sights right now. :D Hopefully, with any luck, I'll have a new aquarium showpiece.

The smaller tanks are appealing though. I've love to have a 20 long or some other similar aquarium for a small community tank. Be sure to post those pictures!

Mazza:Is the 29 your saltwater? I was thinking you had a freshwater, too. I wish you luck getting your hands on that 65gallon! :D

I have a 29 freshwater community that I'm in the process of live plants. I love it! Its a great community size. My 10 is for my betta and elegant cories.

hakkobetta: I'm happy to here that your female bettas are doing well! :D
