While browsing around the vast space they call the internet, I came across some crayfish sites. Here in TN we have streams and creeks everywhere you look. It got me interested in wanting to go out there and try and trap some for my own tanks. It's extremely easy to buy them, but how about catching your own? I read about people actually catching blue crays, pearl crays, and the regular rusty ones. Sounds like a lot of fun if you ask me.
There are also several different ways that you can catch them, so that makes it a little easier. I'll post some pics if I decide to go, haha!
It does sound like fun and be sure to post pictures if you go. :)
 I used to take my son and the neighbor kids around the block of our house and catch crays and minnows in the small streams near the road. We all had a blast! We rode our bikes with our icecream buckets and fish nets. We caught alot of them back then. I didn't know how to care for them at the time and they died, but it didn't stop me from going everyday.
If I find a stream around here I would love to go again. He is now 16 and I think I would have a blast of a time now that he is old enough to maybe just drive ME to a stream. I may have to do that. I think I will, I am going to talk to him next weekend about it. I'll just put a divider in the 20G.
We have a fancy blue cray already, so why not catch some real wild ones?
