Interesting update for all of us who believe in our fish being smart today a show called "Myth Busters" proved that they were they used 4 goldfish and dividers in a empty tank and had slots in between the dividers where fish could get through. Well at the end there were colored slots that held food for them and each day for 45 days they timed them and at the end the record was 43 seconds that the fish got the food MYTH BUSTED that fish aren't smart just thought I'd throw that out there for all of you. :D

I'm confused. Did the fish not improve in speed? And so they're concluding they can't learn?

No, no ok sorry for the confusion the myth was that fish only had a 3 sec intelligence and they wanted to prove that wrong well by putting the colored slots in between the dividers they made the fish swim through the maze and timed them and everytime they remember that the red colored was food they'd go to it and if it wasn't they wouldn't and the speed variable was to determine if they really remembered it or just went to it...hopefully that cleared things up :D

Well I am pretty sure that myth is that goldfish have a 3 second memory and it doesn't go for all fish. I am sure that a lot of other fish would do a better job.

Haha! Maybe they should give a cichlid a try. I believe he'd be waiting.
