Title: stinking water treatment

It is one month ago since i bought water treatment. The new water treatment became stinky. IT smells like rotten eggs... Is this some sort of bad things? I only had it for 1 month!!! And it cost me 11 bucks!!! Tell me if I should throw it away or do other things to it. Thanks.

Is it Prime by chance? If not Prime specifically, does it contain hydrosulfite salts, as Prime does? If either is the case, the smell is normal and actually would have been noticed upon first opening the container. Have a product name or manufacturer?

i saw a link on aquaria central and it said that amquel plus smells because it has hydrosulfite salts however the normal amquel doesn't have it and doesn't smell lol
