Actually, we did before with that shoutbox... which basically is a chat room. I know Mazza_402 has been checking into the possibility of re-doing a chat room with just a button link to the room.

But only if people were actually in the chat... I've been to many sites where, despite having thousands of members, no one's ever in the chat rooms.

that is what it is like on oscarfish.com however if some people just put in effort to come on while they browse the forums which wouldn't be hard at all as the site grew the chat room may become very popular

I don't think it would work right now, too few of members.

If there was a live chat it would only hurt the forum at the moment. think about it if the chat was up and you got your answers then and there then there would be no need to be posting anything.

i guess that is a good point ah well maybe that can stay as a thought for a while

acctually on ultamit bettas we do this live chat thing but we use a messenger client like yahoo and invite everyone so we are on at the same time and we do it like 2 or 3 times a week. so its useually only members that have been around and no newb torble makers hahahahahaha

maybe it would just be easier if we found some other people who use the same instant messenger as you and if you are looking for advice ask them there if you need it straight away. If anyone wants to add me I am bartier@hotmail.com and I use msn messenger.
