Welcome aboard. Oh BTW I think you are a tad bit overstocked.

Heh, hopefully those Jack Demps are very young. :D Guess you'll either be trading them in or upgrading tank sizes to something much larger.

I have around 30 feeder guppies plus 20 something ghost shrimp in my feeder 10g tank...

Hey there! Welcome to the forum. Can't wait to see some pics of your Jack Dempsey's and Firemouth's. Those are some of my favorite fish. I know what you mean by at the moment. I had a oscar, a common plec, and a jack dempsey in a 10 gallon for a few weeks. They we're all really small though, and I've had 10x as much in a 10 gallon before. You've gotta do what you gotta do, you know?

if it works it works i had my oscars in a 5 gallon till they were 3 inch without any aggression they were quite happy to move though

Polaris.northstar - March 3, 2006 06:59 AM (GMT)
No offence to anyone but if your going to have a fish I would keep them in the tank that they will live in, I think it's too stressful on the fish to be bounced around, Especially one oscar no matter how small it is should never be kept in 5 gal, I hope I diddnt step on anyones toes but thats my 1.999995 Cents worth

yeah i know i was pretty bad with fish stocking then still am that is why i am getting rid of my oscars and getting a pair of convicts

Welcom C_F!

Not that I look down on anyone who keeps fish like that, but I am inclined to agree with Polaris.nothstar

In my opinion, you're almost always better off with normal to low stocking levels. Of course a lot depends on fish behavior and tank health, filters, etc.

Just my thoughts. I'm sure you'll get it worked out for them, though.

Welcome and Good Luck! :D

yeah i have had enough of tank cleaning thats why to take changes to a really low level i am going to keep one pair of convicts in my 40 gallon breeder

CatLover - March 5, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah, I enjoy my tanks stocking levels because water quality is not hard to deal with.

I'm sure everything will work out! :D
