While it's true that sex sells, it doesn't have to be the selling point of choice. This is not an invitation to start an argument between the males and the females. What I'm saying is, one should always keep their audience, customers, clients, forum members, whatever.. in mind. For example, that kind of advertisement is seen on Spike TV all the time. Thing is, it is appropriate for the viewers of that particular channel, whether you like it or not. It would be totally inappropriate on the Family channel, for example. On the other hand, being fooled into looking by an advertisement such as in your example, is the risk and so one may be treated to a glimpse, may get a chuckle from the irony, might be embarrassed for being fooled, etc. It's all a matter of the demographics.
