Title: Odd beginning
Polaris.northstar - February 11, 2006 07:58 AM (GMT)
I am moving my tanks, they are a mess and we're moving to a new home, Re-setup a 55gal for 3 stingrays (freshwater) that are being shipped to me and moved other fish into a 10 and 30 gal tank so the rays can get used to the tank w/o being harassed by the other fish

so....... you have a BGK thats aproaching 2 feet in length in a 30 gal? and a 55 gallon is really too small for 3 stingrays unless they are a very smal dwarf variaty.

my ghost is being cared for else where, and the rays are still small enough to keep them while we move, Do not lecture me on how to keep my fish, Rays that are less then 6 inches can be kept in a 55 Gallon, they will be moved to a 1100 gallon next month, while they are in the 55 they will have alot of room as they are about 2-3 inches each

hey, you didnt explain anything in the first post and i just wanted int out a few facts. THis is a fish forum, your supposed to post suggestions. Don't blow a fuse because i did what your supposed to do on a fish forum. that just shows beligerance.

then I ask you to inquire in another way, I do not like to be called inept directly or indirectly, I have been keeping and breeding fish over 15 years now, I do think I know what I am doing at this point

1100g, wow! This is the one you're building? How is that going? I was curioius, how much did the parts cost for something that size?
Polaris.northstar - February 12, 2006 12:45 AM (GMT)
parts were about 600+/- I built in an autovac for cleaning and a auto fill system Looks awsome, I will post some pics of it soon with the Substrate and plants in,

Wow, that's rather cheap for the size. I spent half of that on a 30 gal with an eclipse 3 hood. Can't wait to see it finished.

acryllic is expensive plus I sprung for a thicker size of it as I dont need a 1100 Gallon Flood..
