Glad to see you are enjoying our little community, FGB! It's always a great thing to see members that are as excited about fishkeeping as you are. You will have to let us know how the 'breeding operation' goes. Hopefully one day I'll put all my effort into trying to breed a fish. For the moment though, I don't think I have the patience, LOL. ;)
Anyways, before I get off post, we hope you enjoy the forum!

Welcome Tyler. That's pretty much how I bred guppies for a while. One or two from each batch would make it, and it kept the population going, and growing.

once i kept guppies back before i had any idea i had about 30-40 fully grown guppies in a 5 gallon and occasionally i would see some give birth most would get eaten though maybe you should get some breeding traps if you haven't yet

I breed gourami and never done Danio's but from what i've learned it's always best to start with somthing easy like Mollies or Guppy, you can get a feel for keeping fry then move up, Good luck
