You're not actually keeping one of these as a pet, are you? I have to admit, that would be a cool pet, right up until it tries to eat your arm off.

I'd love to have one! But I heard they're hard to keep!

NAW, just stick him in a 5g goldfish bowl, I've heard in other forums that fish only grow to the size of their tank! lol :D

I'd also like to have an Orca! ^_^

Nice info. I didn't know all that about great whites, regardless of the fact I've watched the documentary a MILLION times on the Discovery Channel. We'll be sure to add that to our S/W profiles.

Thanks a bunch for the contribution! :D

Don't Orca's sometimes kill sharks? Or am I thinking of dolphins?

If I had had a saltwater tank setup when I vacationed last year in FL, I could have brought home a shark, but they were just small 3 foot sand sharks and bonnethead sharks. Still had razor sharp teeth though... which my fingers unfortunately found out for me.

<_< "Note to Self: DO NOT ever Ever EVER again reach hand into shark's mouth to retrieve fishing hook" :o

You know, I made a lot of those type of notes on my last vacation... like:

<_< "Note to Self: DO NOT ever Ever EVER again think that catching an 8 foot aligator durring mating season wouldn't be much different than catching a big fish."

 "Note to Self: The next time a pilot offers to let you land the seaplane, decline."

:( "Note to Self: When the Coast Guard puts out gail force wind advisories, return the boat to it's dock, ESPECIALLY when you get the reports that other fishing vessels have been lost in the storm..."

Do they actually explode? I just thought they got rammed til they had such severe internal bleeding that they died.

Mitternacht - March 7, 2006 12:33 AM (GMT)
yeah, they do explode!

yep. and I believe they swim at around 35 mph, probably fast enough to kill one.
