My friend had trouble with birds like that eating his pond fish. It was really difficult to get them off of his property too.

What makes them so intellectual just by judging their feeding habits? Was their more to that article? Or can you post the link? I'd love to check it out.

Herons usually stay clear of humans, which is very smart for most wild animals.

True, and often they bring uninvited guests, such as the yellow grub parasite (profile comming soon) which is transported from lake to pond via the heron's mouth, which primarily affects bass, sunfish, and perch.
