Title: To divide, or not divide....
Description: Bettas

Hi there...
I'm confused.
I had three Bettas, two male, one female, sharing a 10g tank w/ two divider screens. Males were on the outside, female was in the center section. About 6 months ago, one of the males died.... so I removed 1 divider, and the two remaining fish have been sharing the 10g.

I am confused as to the need for the divider. Will a male and female cohabitate OK in the tank together w/o divider, or will there be mayhem? I've heard answers both ways. Divide, or not divide?

Males and females can peacefully co-exist, however, males will not tolerate another male. If you put the male and female together though, look for bubble nests, they might start to reproduce.
