Found some silvery white worms in my tank. Is this good or bad??Will anything eat it? And wat are the worms called?

Hi RB. Can you describe them a bit more? Size, shape? Are they only on the glass or on the rocks? Do they seem to move around the tank at all?

Do they look anything like this or smaller?

Here is a close-up of the same critter in the link above:

Thanks FF for the reply. The worm doesn't quite look like those. They are on my LR and my LS and also my glass. They are very very tiny so i cant give a very good description. But it seems like they dont bother my anemone and fish. They also move like a worm, kind creepy. Now I dont want to stick my hands in the tank. I even saw a bristle worm. But I heard they were good for scavenger and im catching it to put in my fuge.

hmm.. I could not find any info on tiny worms in a marine aqarium. I wonder if they are a sign of too many nutrients in the water.... similiar to in a freshwater tank. It might be interesting to watch them for a while to see what the do or if they are a food source.

Yea. So far I havent seen them do any wrong. They just crawl on rocks and my glass. They're just creepy but i dont think they're bad.

Without a picture it is very difficult to make an exact identification, however they are probably harmless. Worms and other organisms are common in established marine aquariums and the majority pose no threat.
