Title: Sup?

AiWen - January 22, 2006 04:36 AM (GMT)
Hey, I'm Charlene, and I'm 13 years old.

I have 14 bettas and 2 cichlids.

Been keeping fish for 3 years and been learning about them for 6+ months.

See you around. ;)

PS. I dig your layout skin B)

Hello Aiwen, good to have you here. It was the perfect skin for a fish forum. I had to edit it a bit though. The dk blue text on light blue was serious eyestrain. But it looks great with black.

Looks like we've got three betta keepers that joined today. We just launched the site today, so I'm sure we'll get more. It just happens that I had it scheduled to add the betta fact sheets to the fish facts section tomorrow.

That's great!

Welcome to Aquatopia, AiWen! Glad to see we have some more betta enthusiasts joining our forum.

Hey! Welcome to the board! I own a betta as well! :)

AiWen - January 24, 2006 01:09 AM (GMT)
Hey, that's really cool. Some one around my age :)

And that's awesome. Good to know people around here keep bettas too. Cause around the LA area, bettas are generally sold for about $1 a piece at petstores and fishstores, so they are known as the "cheap" fish. What they don't know is that bettas come in higher qualities that could range from prices $40 and up too! So, what type is yours? I have 6 Deltatails, 5 veiltails, and 3 plakats. Oh yeah, 11 of them are females and the other 3 are males.

Ha Ha! I ran into that with a petshop around here, too... they were selling endlers as feeder fish for $0.17 ea. While adult breeding pairs go for $20 ea. Oh well, you know what they say... what they don't know... won't hurt my wallet.

Yeah, but I'm adopting out 2 of the males and 3 females right now because I'm starting my breeding project. So, I'll end up with 9.
