Outside of this forum, we work together repairing cell phones. We both do admin and mod work on all forums here. Together we have a combined 19 years of fishkeeping experience, as well as literally thousands of hours of research.

Mazza_402

We decided to start this forum in January of 2006, because most of the other forums don't give a whole lot of researched facts on them. Most of the time it's anecdotal posts from members ("well my grandparents were able to keep an oscar in a 5g fishbowl with no filtration and it lived for 56 years"). Also, when looking for helpful information, you are usually only able to find some of it here, some of it there, but never all in one place. Or there were so many different forum topics that the members were spread too thin to answer your questions quickly.
Sergeant Major

A bit about Sergeant Major: Grew up in Washington State, enlisted in the US Marine Corps after HS, moved to Knoxville, Tennessee some time after that. I chose Sergeant Major as my nickname because of my experience in the Marine Corps and because my wife and I enjoyed watching and feeding the sergeant major fish down in the Florida keys last year. I've been married for 3 years now, my wife and I got married in Makati City, Philippines. My wife's name is Christy and she's my saltwater guru. She knows more about saltwater tanks than anyone I know. Although we are still cycling our first saltwater tank (a 29g), she has spent every spare minute for the last 6 months researching everything about them.
