Title: Blennies and Mandarins
Description: Housing together

Can a Mandarin Dragonet be housed in the same 30g tank as a scooter blenny? I have been thinking about getting one, but I know they don't tolerate their own kind being in the same tank, and I'm just not sure if a scooter blenny would be close enough for it not to tolerate.

PS - I was thinking about the Spotted Mandarin, but could easily switch to a Green Mandarin if it would work better with the scooter blenny.

As you probably already know the main difficulty with keeping Dragonets is their special dietary requirements. They feed mainly on tiny copepods and other crustaceans. A high population can be very hard to maintain especially in such a small tank. Since you already have a Dragonet in your tank I wouldn't personally add another one. Just my opinion.

In terms of bioload I would say your tank is currently well stocked.

Is your current Scooter Blenny eating prepared foods? Also do you have a attached refugium?
