Description: ER Improvement
Sergeant Major - January 15, 2007 02:20 PM (GMT)
:star: We have sucessfully implemented an emergency broadcasting system that will page Sgt Maj anytime, day or night, when a new topic is started in the
Emergency Room forum. We believe this will aid our members by allowing us to be notified faster and thus allowing us to reply faster to your emergencies.

If only I had read this first... heh. It was pretty cool though, gave it a good test... just the type of situation it was made for. Was out to eat and then to see a movie... got the page at dinner and stopped by work on my way to the movie to check on it... response time: 45 mins... not great, but it was still about 2 and a half hours before I would have checked it otherwise. Now I need to get my PDA to connect to hot spots, that way I could just drive by the nearest starbucks (they all have hot spots now) to check it.

Would you consider adding that we have a EBS to the description of the ER forum?
Sergeant Major - January 21, 2007 03:27 PM (GMT)
Sure would, great idea. I'm going to make some major changes to forum names today anyway. We've noticed a lot of confusion about where to post things, and hopefully we'll get that straightened up here, make it a bit easier to find what you're looking for.

I think everyone needs to understand that you really shouldn't post in the emergency room unless necessary
