Origin: Indo Pacific

Difficulty Level: Easy

Size: Up to 4 inches

Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallon

Water Requirements:

-Specific Gravity: 1.021-1.025

-Temperature: 78-82F

-pH: 8.1-8.4

Diet: Herbivore. Should be fed vegetable matter, algae, as well as frozen foods.

Reef Safe: Yes, however may nip at coral

General Comments: The Bicolor Blenny should be introduced to an established system and provided with a sufficient amount of live rock. The live rock is not only for providing surface area for grazing on algae but for making the Blenny feel more comfortable. The Bicolor Blenny with also help with consuming nuisance algae that may be present. Although this Blenny is generally considered reef safe there have been reports of them nipping at corals so therefore caution should be taken when keeping this fish in a reef tank.
