If any of you are unfamiliar with Gator Sharkote, I would suggest remembering the name. It is a film that will be used to coat Navy Vessels to prevent marine algae growth. Who cares, right? You do. Let me explain why. This film which is physically similar to sharkskin in texture can be either clear or printed on. It is supposed to last for 8 years with minimal algae growth on it, as well. This means it's perfect for replacing your magna-floats. Forget cleaning the inside glass of your aquarium for the next 7-8 years! Also, those great backdrops can be printed right on the backside of the aquarium.
Remember that you heard this prediction here first. Gator Sharkote will be the next big thing in aquariums. Even though there are currently no commercial manufacturers of Gator Sharkote, I'm sure the business world will catch on fast to the many uses of this unique material. So look for it in the future.
