Well, I have a 20 gallon tank that isnt dirty but has very very old age water in it. Probably 1 yr old. Never changed once. I have fun that lots and lots of creatures were living in there. There were daphnia, tubifex worms, infusoria, and ones with attenas. Maybe rotifers too. Is there any idea on how these bug got in there? I would like to feed them to my fish, since half of them are called live food too. So is it ok?

..are you positive thats what they are? did you ever introduce anything into the system? i have a hard time beleiving it, as the life span of daphina is very short, and they've only been bred in hundred-of-thousand dollar machienes....

Thats a funny answer since I raise daphena is a gallon jar. But anyway, unless these things were introduced its highly unlikely that they are what you think they are. I would dump the tank and start it over with everything new including any gravel that is in there. I wouldn't advise feeding it to fish not knowing what it is. Do you have live plants and green water in the tank?

I have a few live plants in the tank. About 6 of them. Growing to 8 inches tall.
